We train. We lift. We get fit.

we train we lift we get fit

Happy Monday! This is how we rock at buggy bootcamp Leatherhead, Surrey:

We train.  We lift. We get fit together.

Our fitness journey might be very different, but the common goal is to go forward, push yourself just a little bit harder, be a fitter and stronger version of yourself and make progress.

Believe in yourself. You CAN do it.

Fat: friend or enemy?

healthy fat daily dose

#Nutrition Tip: If you want to eat healthy, lose weight without counting calories, then healthy fat is your new best friend.

Lots of us are scared of eating fatty food. But the truth is, eliminating all fats from the diet is going to make us hungry by the end of the day. At this point, many people will turn to unhealthy snacks, refined carbs, convenient food which totally ruin their ‘diet’.

Healthy fats are actually good, and essential for our body to function. Have a portion of healthy fat with your meals will keep you satisfied throughout the day, and reduce sugar craving. What’s more, they keep your skin and hair healthy and shiny too. Bonus!

My favourite source of healthy fats are: avocado, raw almonds, extra virgin olive oil, salmon fillet, sardine, nut butter. What’s your favourite?

Post-workout green smoothie recipe

GreensmoothieGreen smoothie recipe

If you’re looking for a quick way to replenish your energy after a workout, give this green smoothie a try. The green colour of this smoothie comes from kale, matcha powder and avocado.  Use a smoothie blender to blend the ingredients . I use NutriNinja blender.  The smoothie is surprisingly smoothie.

Energy Booster Green Smoothie:

Ingredients:  (1 serving)

1 Ripe banana

1 Handful of kale

1 Teaspoon high-grade matcha powder

1/4 Small ripe avocado

200 ml Unsweetened soya milk

Optional: if you really must sweeten the smoothie, use 1 teaspoon manuka honey

Method: Put all the ingredients in a blender.  Blend in short bursts for 20 seconds.

Enjoy!  Let me know what you think. Pop a comment or photo below!
